On Monday 14th May, P5SG led assembly entitled 'Mary, Queen of the May'. In preparation for this, we were learning about Mary as a young girl, we made our own Rosary beads in class and we researched the story of Mary's appearance at Knock, Co. Mayo in 1879.

On Thursday 17th May, the firemen came to school to visit the Primary 5 pupils. They talked to us about fire safety and gave us lots of important tips for keeping our homes safe. They explained that they wear special fire resistant clothing when attending a fire and they even let some of us try it on!

P5SG are studying the topic of Ancient Egypt in WAU. Pupils were set the challenge task of building an Egyptian shaduf for our STEM day. I'm sure everyone would agree that the models they produced were OUTSTANDING!

P5SG are very lucky to be taking part in the Roots of Empathy programme. We REALLY enjoy Baby Anton coming to visit our class with his mum Lorna.

Congratulations to all the pupils in P5SG who prepared and delivered speeches for the position of class representative on the School Council. The position went to Mia Reilly after a class vote.
