This week we want you to use a new planning template in your Literacy Pack to plan and write about another minibeast – choose your favourite minibeast – one that you might have lots of information about. Just complete the planning worksheet this week. Just write about 2 sections each day eg Title, introduction etc. |
Guided Reading |
Bug Club Lots and lots more children are building up their reading skills by logging into Bug Club. Competition continues to see who can read the most books in one week. I hope lots of you will try and read one book per day. Don’t forget to click onto the Bug Icon and answer the comprehension questions. You can earn lots of rewards to spend in the virtual shop!!
Purple Mash Reading – Serial Mash Read the book Ned and the Three Bears. Read one chapter per day then complete activities.

Spellings |
Fun with Spelling 27:1 – 27:5 do one page per day.
Middle vowel sound i.e. dog, dig and dug/rob, rib and rub/pop, pip and pup. High frequency words are must, fast and bike. Don’t forget to complete the quiz at the end of the week from Purple Mash. It is great fun!!

This week is Mental Health Week (18th-24th May) This year we will be taking part in the ‘Big Purple Picnic for Mental Health Week’, 18 -24th May. AND/OR (2) “Big Up my Buddy”: We know that you are missing your school buddies right now so why not make signs or funny portraits of your best friends with a message to them of why they are your best bud.
